Metroplex on Gateway

A landmark business and industrial estate shaped by a different approach to development.

A DIFFERENT APPROACH

Business, industry and landscape brought together.

Metroplex on Gateway represents a different approach to business and industrial park development — bringing business, industry, architecture, landscape and the natural environment together within a masterplanned estate.

Construction commenced in 1998, with Metroplex drawing on the experience of the Pradella family, which has been building in Queensland since 1959.

From its inception, Metroplex on Gateway was conceived as more than a conventional industrial subdivision. The approximately 62-hectare estate was masterplanned to accommodate a diverse range of business and industrial uses within a high-quality landscaped environment.

Over its history, Metroplex on Gateway has become home to a broad range of local, national and international businesses, establishing itself as one of Brisbane's recognised business and industrial precincts.

Today, Metroplex on Gateway is an established business and industrial community and an enduring example of that original vision.

DESIGNED AROUND THE ENVIRONMENT

The wetlands were part of the plan.

A defining feature of Metroplex on Gateway is the integration of its natural environment into the design of the estate.

Rather than treating the site's wetlands as separate from the development, the estate was designed around its wetlands, incorporating them into the broader masterplan.

Landscaped open spaces, established vegetation, pedestrian pathways and recreational areas complement the wetlands and provide a distinctive setting for businesses throughout the estate.

This relationship between the built and natural environments remains one of the characteristics that distinguishes Metroplex on Gateway from a traditional industrial estate.

BUSINESS IN A LANDSCAPED SETTING

An established business community.

Metroplex on Gateway combines industrial, warehouse, office and commercial premises with extensive landscaping and open space.

The estate's streetscapes, architecture and recreational areas were planned as parts of a connected business environment, providing both the infrastructure required by industry and an attractive environment for the people who work there.

Over the years, businesses associated with the estate have included major Australian and international organisations across manufacturing, technology, distribution, logistics and corporate operations.
